Ca AB 3071 will forbid the use of ALL lead-based ammo at any public or private shooting range. This includes cast lead, jacketed, plated or coated lead rounds. It has been pulled from consideration this year, but it is expected to rear its ugly head again next year. I personally wrote extensive letters to my local representatives via US mail, but never heard back. I will continue to pursue my experimentation with hand-cast zinc bullets, but it is quite clear that the left-leaning populace of this state does not want us to shoot at all. I’d give zinc ammo 2 years before they find reason to ban that as well.

I support the California Rifle and Pistol Association and Calguns.org who fight the legal battles for me.
