I bought this Springfield 9mm at D&B Supply yesterday. It's new in the box and I paid $329.00. It comes with 10 and 13 round magazines AND... included is a gate lock. It feels good in my hand and I am eager to shoot it.

Nice! It looks similar to my XDs. I really like the grip safety feature they have built into the pistol. Just be warned, with such a short pistol, any bad habits you might have are really going to show with that pistol. It did with mine.

Congratulations Highboy! Nice looking XD9, also a great price. They are great shooters, but the smaller XD requires more practice to stay proficient with it.

I have 4 XD's, 2 in 9 mm and 2 in 45 acp, Service and Tacticals. I actually think I like my XD's more than my Glocks, but not more than my 1911's!!! The XD's fit my hands better.

The only pistols I have that I don't like are the Berretta 92FS in 9mm and M9A1 in 22LR. The trigger pull is weird but manageable with practice and the grips are too fat for my liking both for grip and carry on my belt. I keep them because that is what the military is still using at the moment and to complement some of my old uniforms I wear in parades and memorial services. I like my Kimber 1911s and Canik TP9SF pistols best.

The XDs isn't bad after I smoothed out the action and gets the job done but it isn't my favorite. The trigger weight could be lighter like a 1911. Especially since it has a grip safety as well as the blade in the trigger. Canik did it. I can't see why Springfield couldn't do it in a polymer frame pistol as well.
