UPDATE: I received this package of 1000 pieces of 380ACP brass today, earlier than expected. I ordered on Thursday, today is Tuesday. The supplier is in New Jersey, I’m in California. 5 day turn-around is remarkable in the current environment. Good price, fast, free shipping. I’m a happy camper.

I got all those cases bulge busted, sized and deprimed along with an equal amount I had on hand. Thank goodness for that little Lee APP. It makes short work of the sizing and depriming steps.

I should also mention that NE Reloading “overloads” their shipments by 2% to cover any discrepant cases. In the 1K lot they sent me, there were 2 .32 cases, 2 9mm cases, and 2 380 cases that were unusable due to damage. Not bad. I consider this a good purchase.

I keep looking at the Lee APP since you last talked about it. It’s going to be my next addition to my bench. Questions I have is I’m reloading 9mm and 380 acp. Does it come with what I need for them or will I need anything else with it.

You will need a separate shell holder for 380. It comes with one for 9mm. I also recommend that you get the Lee Universal case feeder kit, and the collator. That stuff is usually available through “normal channels”.

your normal sizer die will work for decapping and sizing, but I prefer a universal decapper. Lee makes one, Mighty Armory makes one..you have options.

I really like mine, but there was a learning curve. There’s lots of YouTube stuff to help. Our own @Andy79Z28 was an early adopter and pioneer with the press and has some excellent video on his channel. Lee has adopted some of his ideas in the continuing development of the press.

Caveat: this is a tool for shooters who frequently need to process hundreds of cases at a time. If you only shoot 100 rounds per month, you won’t save any time or money with it. You’ll have fun, but you’ll be into it for a buck-fifty at least before you’re set up. So weigh those odds.

after you get yours, there will be a few other bits that are helpful like these:

3-400 is a good start. You will like the LEE APP for case prep. If you cast your own bullets it will make short order of sizing them.

BTW Thanks Walter
