I currently only own one Savage rifle.. the B17 in .17 HMR. I’m a fan of .17 HMR for small varmints, and use it more frequently than my 10/22 in that capacity. The savage is a fine shooter at a great price point.

I've collected a few Savage rifle over the years, my two rimfire rifle are the Sav. 93 G in 22 WMR and the Mark II G in 22 LR, both sport the AccuTrigger and have been very accurate rifles for punching paper or small game / varmints hunting. My other two Savage rifle are my Sav. 170B pump gun in 30-30 and Sav. 99 in 300 Sav. both those get a steady diet of cast lead ammo.

If you're referring to my rifle it's not actually a take down model. Mine is one of the last 99's produced and had a plain Jane stock that I refinished. It also has a heavy barrel and loves cast lead bullets which is about all I really ever shoot in it. I also make all my own brass form all the once fired .308 Win. brass non reloaders left at the public range back when I used to go there, I'll probably never have to buy any brass for that rifle.
